Sarah Jessica Parker Shoe Line SJP

If any show glorified shoes, it is of course "Sex and the City". I, like almost every other female in the world, loved the show. Everyone had a character they could relate to or somewhat relate to. And, of course everyone loved Sarah Jessica Parker's a.k.a Carrie Bradshaw shoe addiction in the show. She was often forgoing her rent in the show to get shoes.

And, who could forget the shoe that so many brides wore as their something blue shoe for their wedding Manolo Blahnik Hangisi Satin Pump  -- or as many call it the Manolo Blahnik Something Blue shoe - it is iconic. If I am in a store and I see them, I immediately think of "Carrie Bradshaw" it is impossible not to.

Ever since her show, Sarah Jessica Parker has been recognized as a style icon. She has undeniable elegant style. And her shoe collection, SJP is out in Nordstrom TODAY.  Sarah Jessica Parker joined forces with Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus - The shoes are gorgeous, needless to say! Here are some beautiful shoes from the line:

I absolutely adore the mint color shoes in the picture above this! And, I love the ones with the flower too!! SJP always has a way of wearing a huge flower and making it work!

Will you be buying any shoes from the SJP line?

Save Money and Save Makeup -- Useful tips for makeup lovers and beauty addicts.

It goes without saying that when you invest in any makeup, no matter what the price is, you want it to last. I know I always try to get the most from my makeup. That is why I now store it in my drawer of my vanity, keeping it away from as many germs as possible. I used to keep them in a acrylic case. I feel that look has become a bit dated. I still love it, but from moving from a house to a condo, I definitely don't need excess things hanging around. So, everything is neatly tucked away in a drawer. I do this for another reason, light can oxidize things. I don't want my foundation to oxidize.

As a woman who wears makeup all of the time, I think anything we can do to prolong the use of our makeup is good for our wallets and good for our skin. For reference, you shouldn't keep makeup too long as it can harbor bacteria. And, that is one thing you need to be conscious of. Mascara gets tossed every 3 months. I get my mascara at the drugstore, so that doesn't bother me much. Check out the Mascara I swear by and is only $6.99  HERE

In addition to this, I clean my brushes weekly to keep everything sanitary. I wipe the outside of my makeup bottles and palettes with alcohol wipes. I keep natural hand sanitizer in my makeup drawer and clean my hands as I apply makeup. I also use a great product I was sent, called Every Drop Beauty find it HERE

Sephora Upside Down Mascara

If you actively read my blog, you know that I am always on a quest to make my eyelashes, longer, fuller and full of DRAMA. I am always looking for new innovative mascaras and eyelash serums to give my eyelashes some added oomph. I know, isn't every other girl doing the same thing? Chances are, if you are reading this, you want to achieve bold, fierce lashes.

I am dying to try the latest mascara from Sephora. Sephora has come along way with their makeup line and I have at least 10 items in my makeup stash that are by Sephora brand. I think I am going to head out today and check this mascara out to give you guys every detail. But, I just had to post about it because it looks amazing and it is also paraben, sulfate and phthalate-free formula. Which, I love. The less chemicals the better in my opinion.

I am in love with the new wand design. I am always up for trying something new!

"For ultimate volume, use the open wand by placing lashes between the upper and lower mascara brush to coat each lash with 360 degrees of volumizing pigment. To achieve a wide-eyed, long lash look, use the dual brush closed for maximized delivery. Create defined lower lashes with the closed mascara brush. Feeling bold? Use all three techniques together for a maximized lash effect."

Check out some awesome Sephora Coupons and Coupon Codes

I am hoping it lives up to the claims. It looks like it might. I like the new design and I am so excited to try it!

Have you tried it? Are you going to try it, let me know! I love hearing from you!

Pinot's Palette - Paint, Drink, Have Fun

Are you looking for an interesting twist on your usual Girls Night Out? Are you tired of the same old scene?

Pinot's Palette is opening in Staten Island, New York. This Saturday, March 1st. So grab your friends and come enjoy a great time with Pinot's Palette!

The idea behind Pinot's Palette is to be able to sip wine and create art. It is the first upscale paint & sip studio to be offered on Staten Island. In two or three hours, their customers can create any number of  festive, whimsical and pretty paintings while sipping on your favorite wine or beer. No art experience is required – just a sense of fun!

I think this is a remarkable alternative to be able to let your imagination wander and create a piece of artwork that you can treasure forever, or to have something memorable from a special event that you may have partaken in. You can bring your friends or even a date! From their main room to their party room, the opportunities of what Pinot's Palette has to offer are endless.

It is a unique and cultural idea for birthday's, girls night out, bachelorette parties, even children's parities! (Minus the alcohol of course!) You can even purchase gift certificates! Talk about cutting-edge in terms of gift giving.

Splurge vs. Steal

Every now and then I like to do a splurge vs. steal article. Because, let us all face it, if you can get the look for less, why not? I don't condone knockoffs but, if someone makes something strikingly similar to shoes that cost $857.00 I think it is my civic duty to let my readers know!

I have loved the Valentino Garavani Rockstud Pumps since I first laid eyes on them in Saks. But, to be honest, I would rather invest in my shoes and the studs threw me off a bit, I feel like they are more of a trendy shoe than a classic. So, I have never purchased them. But, I do love the look of them.

My shoe closet has expensive shoes in it! But, they are all shoes I can wear for years to come. I typically invest in shoes that I know I will be able to wear for the next 10 years. And, that helps me justify a heftier price tag.

I finally found shoes that resemble the Valentino Rockstud Pumps!! And, they're $25.99!! Yes, you read that right $25.99 (Does Backflip*)

You can find them here :

*Disclaimer -  I have never ordered from this site before! But, I am going to give it a try. I hope this inspires you to save a little money in your piggy bank!!!
